Tasking and Timelines
After the project specifications have been clearly defined and documented, work begins with the internal step-by-step instructions for building-out the project. All steps are clearly defined by the project manager who assigns the tasks to the project team members. The planning horizon can only look out so far. With any project, there is uncertainty. As higher-level discussions on some topics were initially vague and unclear, they must be defined in more detail as the timeframe gets closer. Managing the project horizon and forecasting the task requirements is a vital process of any IT project, requiring a talented and experienced project manager. All of Tech Strata’s project managers have at least 10-15 years of real-world project management experience on the IT front.
